Four Seasons The Nam Hai was the first hotel designed by AW². Opened in 2006 as a GHM hotel, it progressively became known as one of the best hotels in the region and was re-branded in 2016. The 60 suites and 45 villas of the resort are positioned on a 27-hectare beachfront site, close to Ha My beach in Hoi An. The architecture reinterprets, in a contemporary style, the local vernacular buildings and codes.

The accommodation is designed as stand-alone pavilions within the landscape. They are organized in U-shape clusters opening the sea views to all. The suites are laid out with a central platform that houses all the elements of the room – bed, desk, day bed, bathtub – into one single feature. The linear roofs are designed with large overhangs that both protect the buildings from the elements and create outdoor living spaces that extend from the indoor areas. The central area of the resort is designed as a series of stepping platforms with water displays, pools, stairs and pavilions organised to create a vast composition showcasing the pristine beach and the sea views beyond.
